“We played really well today as a team,” Dominguez said. “We don’t give up, and even though we didn’t play well the first or second rounds, we still know that the last round is really important. We’re going to try our hardest no matter where we stand.”Dominguez also said the team’s experience level should be one of its strengths this year.
“With this being the first tournament, and the first one for one of our freshmen, we had a few nerves out there,” Robertson said. “They could not have played any better than they did today, and it’s just nice to bounce back today and never let up, and we have the low round today.”
The team has qualified for regionals for the last two seasons and it may have the strength to make it to nationals this year, Kaufman said.

"I knew what people had been saying and what had been written but I told the players to focus on what they were doing and forget about anything else," he added. "They have proved this week they are special people. They are a credit to themselves, their families and their countries."
Edwards said the two squad sessions he had held at Royal Aberdeen had paid dividends, especially as the Americans were blown off course by a strong wind yesterday morning.
"We prepared properly," he said. "That was the whole idea of asking the R&A if we could come here twice. We were used to the conditions out there and the boys did brilliant today."
Englishman Stiggy Hodgson was the sole survivor from the GB&I team that had lost heavily at Merion two years ago and he said: "Two years ago it really hurt but this is unbelievable and it couldn't have happened to a better bunch of players."
Jim Holtgrieve, the US captain, admitted his players had struggled in the wind as they lost the second-day foursomes 3.5-0.5. "Even though we had played in similar conditions, I think it takes time to get used to them," he said. "They (GB&I are used to these conditions and I think that maybe gave them an edge. US Ready for Walker Cup
US captain Jim Holtgrieve in confident mood ahead of prestigious amateur golf match, he believes his side can cope with the pressure of being favourites.

The United States Walker Cup team has been given their first glimpse of the Royal Aberdeen course ahead of their showdown with Great Britain and Ireland this weekend.
The ten-man team played two rounds on the course on Monday as they look to win the coveted trophy for the fourth time in a row.
US non-playing captain Jim Holtgrieve says his team is comfortable with going into the match regarded as favourites.
He said: “We have got a good team but when you get into a match-play competition any team can win. I hope we come here and play golf in the spirit of what the Walker Cup is all about.
“We get to come and play where golf was born and we are going to do our best to win. The guys on my team are very competitive but they have also come here to meet new people and get an experience of a lifetime.”
Crowds of around 6000 are expected on both days at Royal Aberdeen for the match, regarded as the most prestigious event on the amateur golf circuit.
Holtgrieve, who played in three victorious US Walker Cup teams, says his side can cope with the pressure of playing in front of packed galleries at the challenging links course.
He said: “We are going to talk about the crowds and we will show the guys some of the tapes from the matches at Royal County Down in 2007 so they get a flavour of how the home patrons root for the home team.
He added: “I have been listening to my guys and they have been saying that they hope to see some of the wind and rain and find out what golf in Scotland is really all about.
“It would probably favour the GB&I team a little more if it is like that but I don’t think my guys are going to be afraid of the weather.
“This is the third time I have played the course and the conditions have been perfect each time. I would like to play it in a 30mph wind and see just how tough it really is. I guess we have to wait and see what the rest of the week has in store.”
