Tiger Woods’s West Coast Stop

All of us may know that Tiger Woods will be ready for Frys.com Open in October, and somebody tell me that Tiger Woods’s west coast stop! What happened?

In this article, you may find the news about Tiger Woods’s West Coast. If you are looking for good but Discount Golf Equipment, I would like to recommend the good TaylorMade R9 Driver and X22 Irons to you.

For the first time in a long, long while, Tiger Woods veered from his packed, meticulously arranged schedule to allow for an appearance at the Frys.com Open in October. It will be his maiden stint on the pro tour’s aptly named Fall Series, and the spin from his camp has him fulfilling a stated objective in the process. "One of my goals this year was to participate in a tournament I hadn’t played before. And now I will," his official Web site quoted him as saying yesterday in reference to his formal entry to the event.

Whether or not Woods truly intended to break from years-long routine is subject to speculation, but he’s being a tad disingenuous in any case. For all his supposed To Dos, his attendance to the otherwise-nondescript event was cemented by United States captain Fred Couples’s directive for him to sharpen his game heading into the Presidents Cup. Considering his jet-setting predilections and preference for the familiar, it would have been a much safer bet to see him fulfilling a sponsor obligation in, say, China than plodding on at CordeValle Golf Club in California.

All the same, Woods’s instinctive desire to avoid or minimize the unexpected manifested itself in his choice of the Frys.com Open to appease Couples. For one thing, the course is a relatively short drive from alma mater Stanford. More importantly, the tournament is headed by former tour executive Duke Butler, with whom agent Mark Steinberg has a good relationship dating back to the setup of the AT&T National -- which the former World Number One hosts in support of his own foundation -- in 2007.

Simply put, Woods’s West Coast stop, a certified rarity, was borne of careful planning, and for reasons other than those he cares to elaborate. In this regard, it doesn’t hurt that the Frys.com has, at $5 million, the biggest pot of all slated Fall Series events, and that the 132 pros who competed in it last year thoroughly enjoyed its first staging at CordeValle. He’s certainly there to hone his craft, but he’s guaranteed to be indulged, not to mention earn extra pocket change, at the same time. Which is why, in the midst of Butler’s and Steinberg’s toasts, Couples can finally afford to sport a smile.
